DYNASTY: Worst Scene Ever?
Could this be the worst scene in the history of ABC’s 1980s hit prime-time soap “Dynasty”? There have been many lame scenes in the show’s 9-season run including the disappointing Moldavian cliffhanger follow-up and the infamous UFO abduction on the “Dynasty” spin-off “The Colbys.” But when “Dynasty” returned for one last time in the fall of 1991 to wrap its storylines up with a 4-hour mini-series, the viewers had to endure an orgy of cheesy storytelling. In this scene, following her return from Switzerland, where she spent 2 years in a coma after an attempt to remove her brain tumor, Krystle tries to kill Blake, the love of her life. A corrupt doctor at her Swiss clinic used hypnosis to program Krystle to commit murder. The doctor worked for the evil Consortium that tried to destroy Blake Carrington’s empire and rule the world. Ugh.
